Austria – Oetztal – Niederthai
Niederthai (1537 m) is the only village in the Horlach Valley and it consists of a few hamlets in an idyllic valley widening. This is also the starting point for the alpine hiking trail to the Larstighof, which is located at an altitude of 1777 m.
The winter landscape in the Horlachtal is impressively quiet and lonely. The panorama of the Ötztal Alps on the journey through the Horlach Valley is impressive.
Here you can still find rustic alpine inns, which create a warm and cosy atmosphere in the restaurant with their handmade tiled stoves. So you can let your thoughts wander about the impressions you have just experienced in peace. The menu includes such mundane things as Kaiserschmarren and stew of the house.
After a longer hike, however, you will feel these delicacies of Tyrolean cuisine like caviar and salmon. Below are some impressions of a wonderful winter landscape in the Ötztal. The little friends from nature are bound in ice. In our opinion, they are worth more than ski paradises that have to be “shared” with thousands and thousands. Can anyone understand that?
