The third and smallest in the Gannet League is the rarely seen for visitors red-footed booby. He lives only on San Cristóbal, Genovesa, Wolf, Darwin, and a few tiny satellite islets off the Floreana coast.

His unmistakable trademark is the bright red Watschel feet. The only dolt he builds his nest above the ground in bushes and trees.

By far the largest breeding colony of this acrobatic deep-sea fisherman is on Genovesa. Over 150,000 couples now live there!
