Galicia Costa da Morte

In search of dream beaches in Europe, we find Praia do Lago Merexo on the north coast of Spain in Galicia. The beach is located on the Costa da Morte near A Coruña.

It is a beach like out of a picture book. Fine golden sand and crystal clear water. The sky is bright blue, the otherwise very strong wind is limited today and gives us a fantastic day.

It’s June, so it’s not yet a season on the coasts of northern Spain. Not a soul is to be seen. We have the beach to ourselves.

The light wind and the sound of the surf make us dream as if we were in the South Seas. So they do exist, the magical places in Europe, you just have to make the effort to find them.
