Egypt – Beaches
The beaches in Sharm el Sheik, Dahab, Taba and Nuweiba have an impressive panorama. The water is turquoise blue and forms a strong contrast to the brown slopes of the bizarre mountains of the Sinai. For divers, this patch of earth is a paradise. The diving grounds are among the most beautiful in the world.
On the Red Sea coast, in Hurghada, Marsa Alam, El Gouna and Safaga, there are endless sandy beaches. They usually fall flat into the sea. You can do all sorts of water sports, such as windsurfing, sailing, deep sea fishing, snorkelling and, of course, diving.
The water of the Egyptian Mediterranean is mostly crystal clear and one finds here a balanced climate. The average temperatures are 32 degrees C. For a beach holiday, the months from April to late November are particularly suitable.
